Customer Information
Customers providing testimonials and/or allowing us to photograph our installations grant Conservatory Roof Blinds -free licence to use, reproduce, adapt and publish.
Conservatory Roof Blinds withholds customers’ personal information and takes all reasonable precautions to prevent any customer from being specifically identified.
Our Comprehensive 5 Year Guarantee
Because of our quality control over the parts used and the production process, we are able to offer an extended 5-year guarantee on all our made to measure blinds.
First and probably most important Louvolite will not guarantee the colour of the fabric at all! Do not come back to us later and ask for the same colour to match as it will not match….
Conservatory Roof Blinds guarantee that, assuming the blinds have been correctly installed by our installers, all our made to measure blinds will be free from manufacturing and/or material defects for a period of 5 years from date of order. Should any defect occur during this time, Conservatory Roof Blinds will repair or replace the defective parts or materials with like for like or similar. This guarantee includes removal from end users windows, carriage to and from our factory and all labour charges for the duration of the guarantee.
Your guarantee is invalid if the failure was caused misuse or abuse, aggressive cleaning, accidental, failure to follow adjustment/opening.
Sample Requests
Although we do our best to represent the colour and texture of our blinds as accurately as possible please bear in mind computer monitors vary significantly. Because all our blinds are custom made, we do not accept any responsibility for blinds that do not match your decor exactly.
Once you receive your sample, bear in mind that all samples may have minimal colour variations as stated by the manufacturers. We suggest that you order all of your blinds of a given colour at one time, as there are sometimes slight variations between dye lots.
Please also note that the backing on the material may vary in appearance from batch to batch - this is because the manufacturer Louvolite may upgrade the performance of the fabric. However we guarantee it will match or out perform the current specification.
We encourage you to request a sample before placing your order as we can only accept returns in cases where we have supplied incorrectly. Samples may vary from final delivered product in line with above.
Obtuse Blinds
Should you have Obtuse Shaped Blinds you accept these will be non opening prior to contacting us for a survey/order confirmation.
Window Measurements
Please note that all quotations sent to potential customers are subject to survey. It is always advisable to email pictures of the roof or side windows in question as this speeds up the survey and saves your time.
Our surveyor will make all window measurements accurately; there is no demand on the customer to measure any of the windows.
We require only the overall measurements of the conservatory as specified on the ‘Your Conservatory’ page. We apply a reasonable tolerance (plus or minus 10cm) to the measurement given for quoting purposes to those measured by the surveyor. Should there be a serious deviation the surveyor will advise accordingly.
Charges for mis measurements are as follows: We work in 50cm blocks e.g. 250cm, 300cm, 350cm etc. So if a customer submits a measurement of 290cm wide and our surveyor measures the width as 315cm there will be an additional charge of £125. This error mainly comes about through customer’s inadvertently measuring along the floor (wall to wall) rather than glass to glass.

Please note that all quotations are based upon the number of roof windows being correctly stated on the customers original enquiry form. Should the number of windows be understated a charge of £125 per extra window blind will be made. For example if the original enquiry states 10 windows and at the time of survey the surveyor counts 12 an additional charge of £250 will be made to cover the additional blinds required
Notice of the Right to Cancel
(i) You have the right to cancel the contract by giving notice IN WRITING at any time within the next 7 days.
(ii) This contract is with Roof Blind Services Ltd.
(iii) You may exercise your right to cancel the contract as provided for by clause (i) above by delivering or sending (including by email) to Conservatory Roof Blinds, 7 Maesbrook Close, Banks, Lancashire, PR9 8FF - or emailing service@conservatoryroofblinds.net within the period of 7 days of Survey Request.
(iv) The Notice of Cancellation is deemed to be served as soon as it is posted or sent to us at the address in clause (iii) above, or in the case of electronic communication from the day it is sent to us.
To avoid delays in effecting our service to you, by accepting these terms and conditions we have your authority to waive the cancellation period so we may proceed without delay. We are unable to commence work within ten days of your receipt of this notice (for postal cancellations to arrive) otherwise.
Missed Appointments
Should our surveyor not be able to access the property to carry out the survey at the agreed time a charge of £100 will be made to cover costs of time and travel incurred.
Notification of Cancelled Survey
Should an agreed survey appointment be cancelled by the customer within 24 hours of the appointment a charge of £100 will be made.
Cancelled Orders
If, for any reason, the customer decides to cancel the order once the survey has been carried out a charge of £100 will be made as long as production has not commenced (usually 24 hours from survey) any cancellation after this will result in loss of deposit.
Payment Options
Since all products from Conservatory Roof Blinds are custom made to your specifications, all orders are partly paid (approximately 50%) for when your order is placed. The balance is payable on completion.
Prior to the surveyor visiting you will receive a call from this office to confirm your preferred method of payment.
Visa, MasterCard, Solo & Maestro are accepted. We cannot accept AMEX or Diners card. There is a 2% charge for using credit cards although all debit cards incur no charge. We do not accept payment online for security and logistic reasons. Payment is made/accepted in person by the surveyor/installer at the times of survey and installation/completion.
Changes, Cancellations and Refunds
Because our products are custom made to your exact specifications, they are not suitable for resale. Cancellations can only be made for a period of 24 hours after your order is placed.
Delivery Dates
Delivery times are seasonal, any order placed at the height of summer can be expected to take between 6 and 7 weeks from SURVEY taking place to INSTALLATION. You will be advised at the time of order of current lead times only if you request to be notified.
VAT
All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate.
